I've moved! Go to

Another Skin Mod Club

Morrigan Repine made an exciting post on Second Impressions a few days ago about how Eloh Eliot of Another Shop had made the .psd files for her latest skin available for download at no cost, and I finally had a chance to play with the files tonight.

I won’t go into too much detail other than to say that the level of quality is in keeping with everything else we’ve seen from Eloh thus far; the skin is beautiful.

I’m sure everyone’s either already downloaded the files and begun playing with them, or are planning to do so very soon, so I figured it would be fun to create a flickr group where everyone can post pictures of the results of their modifications. The group is open to anyone that has a flickr account, so fire up Photoshop, join the group, and show off what you’ve done. 😀

Here is the URL:

And now, here is my own very first, very amateur attempt :p

first skin mod attempt

  1. Melanie, that’s gorgeous! I’m seriously envious of people with the photoshop skills to play around with the skins Eloh has shared with us. It will be interesting to see what people create from them, and I’ll be bookmarking the flickr group.

  2. Now that is awesome, I attempted my first makeup last night. I will definitely join this when I get the chance! Thanks for the heads up!

  3. That’s soooo pretty Melanie! What a great idea to create a Flickr Group for these, I’m off to join the group.

  5. Looks fabulous and what fun. But the downside of Eloh’s generosity came home to me today when I saw her free skins on sale for 300L each in Kid’s Skins. Sad sad sad.

  6. Well, Eloh did say that people are free to turn around and sell their modified versions… were they also including a child body shape with the skin? I ask that because the name of the store is Kid’s Skins. Also, if they’re selling the skin as a child avatar skin then they had to do a bit of editing to get rid of the boobs; a child avi shape + modified Eloh skin for 300L sounds reasonable.

But if it’s just for the skin itself, then that is a lot to charge for a skin that someone else did most of the work on.

Unless, of course, they are planning on splitting the proceeds with Eloh. Dunno what the likelihood of that is.
